We worship God and follow Jesus Christ, learning and growing together in the Holy Spirit to serve in the world.

We love and welcome ALL.

The Sacrament of Marriage

At EEC the sacrament of marriage is viewed as a holy, beautiful, and transformative moment in your shared life. We encourage all engaged couples to consider what it means to be married in the church and how important it is to have your faith community surround you. While in some cases we do allow people who are not a part of the greater Petoskey area to celebrate the sacrament of marriage with us, we strongly encourage you to consider the value of having your wedding in your local church in the presence of your faith community. If you are looking for a spiritual home, we invite you to know the joy and support of our community by praying, studying, and serving alongside us, both as you prepare for your wedding and all the days to come.

To inquire about our wedding guidelines and the application process, please call the Office Manager at 231-347-2350 ext. 110 or contact us via our online contact form.

May the God of Love continue to bless and sustain your journey, and grant you much happiness in your life together.

About Our Facility

Historical Stone Structure

The parish of Emmanuel is blessed with a magnificent facility in which to pursue our faith. When the church members purchased the building in 1957; it was a stately large home sitting on 3 acres of land. Many additions were made over the years and the structure now has within its walls an abundance of space for use by parishioners including a large beautiful sanctuary, a smaller separate chapel, a large undercroft for parish-wide activities and several separate special use meeting rooms.

Wedding Party Preparation Rooms

We offer a charming preparation area on the second floor of the original home which is nearly 100 years old. This lovely space includes mirrors, a makeup table with chairs, and several bathrooms. A second private space is available for use in the church undercroft. A large comfortable living room area is available for family members to relax and visit while they wait for the ceremony to begin.

Charles J. Connick Stained Glass

Visitors and members of Emmanuel appreciate the many beautiful stained glass windows located in the central part of the church where we worship. They were designed by Charles J. Connick who created windows for churches, cathedrals, chapels, schools, hospitals and libraries throughout the United States and abroad.

“…. I want to make beautiful interiors for both churches and souls.

I want people to hear my windows singing...”

-Charles J. Connick

Manicured Lawns and Gardens

Over three acres of land with plenty green space is available on the property. As you turn onto the driveway and take in the expansive stone building, bright right red geraniums can be seen along the flowerbeds that stretch along the front of the building.
