Holy Week 2024

Palm Sunday (with Holy Communion)

Begin your Holy Week journey on Sunday, March 24. Services take place at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Together we listen to the story of God's love for all the world, and with hope, we take our place in it.

 

Maundy Thursday (Holy Communion with Foot washing)

Maundy Thursday gets its name from the Latin word "mandatum," meaning commandment. On this holy evening, we remember the command Jesus gave to "love one another." Emmanuel Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian of Petoskey, and Cross of Christ Lutheran invite you to join in worship at 6:00 PM on March 28. Location: Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Petoskey

 

Good Friday

On the solemn day of Good Friday, we pray for healing and wholeness in our lives and in the world. Gather with in community to receive the gift of divine mercy, and prepare your heart for the celebration of love’s redeeming power. Good Friday worship begins at Noon on March 29. Location: First Presbyterian of Petoskey

 

Easter (with Holy Communion)

Alleluia! God's love cannot be defeated or destroyed. Join Emmanuel Episcopal Church-Petoskey, Michigan in the celebration of love's power to heal and redeem us, and to make all things new. Easter services take place at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on March 31. The 10:00 AM service will include festive choral music, brass, and timpani. Children are invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt following the 10:00 AM service.

Stations of the Cross

Emmanuel Episcopal Church invites you to Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 15 at 5:00 PM. Make space in your heart for the story of Jesus and find connection with community through image and prayer. All are welcome.

Epiphany Noisy Day

Epiphany Noisy Day

Save the date for a day of intergenerational fun inspired by the journey of the magi to Bethlehem. Adults and children are invited to nurture play and wonder through art, story, and other creative practices. The day will begin with prayer; then we’ll spend the rest of the morning moving through various activity stations, at which talking and laughter are encouraged!
