At Emmanuel we use an organizational model which we call "ministry groups." Each ministry group focuses on a particular aspect of ministry, gathering persons with similar ministry passions into groups to work together. Each meeting of a ministry group creates a microcosm of the church, incorporating the following elements: Scripture, prayer, pastoral care, fellowship, the task/ministry that brings them together, and evangelism-the incorporation of new members. Ministry groups are quick and simple ways for all of our members to "get their hands dirty" with ministry at the same time as we grow closer to God and one another.
